Well, at least they got to go to the Arkansas State Fairgrounds, and they must have enjoyed their 107-93 preseason victory over the Atlanta Hawks Friday night. I'm guessing the folks in Little Rock were a bit disappointed not to see Houston stars Yao Ming and Bonzi Wells, but at least they got to see how the game is played in the NBA.
The Rockets themselves got to see something, too. As Rockets.com columnist Damien Pierce points out, there was a silver lining to Yao's having to sit this one out. "Despite Houston's obvious desire to have Yao back from his toe injury, the Rockets might have stumbled upon a change of pace lineup to use when the big fella needs a breather." Interestingly, that change of pace included picking up the pace. Maybe we'll be watching some extra fast running this year. And being able to spread the action around the lineup a bit can't hurt.
