Thirsty for points in the Desert

Even with one of the biggest comebacks in Houston Rockets history, the Phoenix Suns burned the Rockets out. Overcoming a 22 point deficit in the second half and even taking the lead for a short moment in the 4th quarter could not help the Rockets stand up to the Suns 13 point run taking the final score to 102 to 91. The Phoenix Suns got off to a very quick start that I do not think the boys from Houston were prepared for. The Rockets were shooting around 40% but put up an amazing 38 separate 3 point shot attempts. The Phoenix Suns guard Raja Bell stated "We came out in the second half up 17 points and we just figured we were going to walk all over them for the rest of the game. They are a good team and good teams do not lie down." I could not have said it better myself. The Houston Rockets battle the Cleveland Cavaliers Saturday, December 2nd at 7:30 PM

Houston Bags the Mavericks

I'm stuck at work and missing the game, but I just clicked on to take a glance at the NBA scoreboard. With 57 seconds to go, Houston is up 104 to 76 over the Dallas Mavericks. Okay, make that a final score of Houston Rockets 107, Dallas Mavericks 76. I didn't manage to jinx my guys, although I wasn't real worried about that.

Looks like Yao Ming did his thing -- he had 36 points. The Mavs' big guy, Dirk Nowitzki, apparently was slackin' with only 24. Would have been nice to watch that one, but at least I can get back to work with a smile on my face.
