It's time for a positive post and Yao Ming's performance last night - and in fact, all season - deserves every word. Despite a collapsing defense and being double and triple-teamed on virtually every possession, Yao shot a perfect 12-for-12 from the field and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Rockets to a 13 point win over the Miami Heat.
The game was Yao's 21st double-double of the season. He has been a rock in the rotation all year and a stabilizing influence in the locker room. Some might argue that Dwight Howard of Orlando is the best center in the game, and both his individual stats and team record would reinforce that argument. But with all the injuries and drama surrounding the Rockets, it's time to give credit where credit is due to the big guy. Yao Ming is the glue that has held things together and earned his team a .610 winning record and fifth place in the Western Conference.
Hang in there Yao. The reinforcements are coming.
